Sceneric and bidshopping launch bid.tv on hybris

Sceneric and bidshopping are pleased to announce bid.tv has now been launched on hybris

bidshopping, owned by Sit-Up ltd, is a multichannel retailer with internet and TV broadcast services which work together to deliver the UK's premier live auction TV shopping channel.  In June this year the bidshopping team approached and selected Sceneric because they wanted:

 

  

• to launch in a tight timeframe  
• build the capability to run auctions as well as fixed price sales
• improve the site search by integrating the latest release of FredHopper search & merchandising platform
• modify their internal call centre order management system to support the new site
• validate and improve their existing hybris implementation, www.pricedropper.co.uk

Sceneric quickly deployed an experienced ecommerce development team which ran a two week discovery phase which produced a clear roadmap for the project.

As part of the implementation Sceneric programme managed multiple third party vendors across a range of technologies as well as working with the business to support the internal changes that were required.

The project was delivered in exceptionally short timescales given the remit by using a series of time boxed Sprints covering, design build, test and implementation. The result is that the new bid.tv was launched well ahead of alternative options available to sit-up.
