Goalrun launched
Sceneric is pleased to announce the launch of Goalrun, a revolutionary social network for grassroots football players and supporters.
Goalrun allows players and supporters of all clubs on the Football Mitoo network, the UK's premier site for grassroots match reports, fixtures and results, to register interest in their clubs, chat with friends, read relevant news and upload and tag rich content such as video and photos.
Sceneric was engaged by Goalrun to build the new web site and provide management, information architecture, development and solutions architecture skills as part of a multi-skilled team. The new platform is scaleable and extensible and includes:
A loosely coupled architecture utilising SOAP Web Services to integrate Football Mitoo with Goalrun
Facebook compatibility, allowing Facebook applications to be run on Goalrun
Facebook interoperability, allowing Goalrun users to tightly integrate with Facebook
A flexible security structure that allows user generated content to be moderated by the user community
A class leading user interface that utilises JQuery to provide user control over their account
Nic Gaultier, CEO of Goalrun, says: "Sceneric's knowledge of the social internet, it's Agile methodology and experienced resources ensured that Goalrun's new web presence will fulfill our business goals. Goalrun provides millions of grassroots footballers, and their friends and family, a place to discuss and interact the latest results, upcoming fixtures and general football matters within a football friendly environment"
Jim Herbert, COO of Sceneric says: "Goalrun was an exciting opportunity for Sceneric to demonstrate it's development capability. Our Agile approach, which includes a process to ensure that all architectural components are well documented, has ensured that the primary requirements of Goalrun have been met, while allowing additional requirements to be delivered".
