Sceneric support the Ellen MacArthur Trust
Sceneric is proud to be joining Ellen MacArthur at the Trust Ball at the Cowes race week in August.
The Ellen MacArthur Trust takes young people aged between 8-18 sailing to help them regain their confidence, on their way to recovery from cancer, leukaemia and other serious illness. The work they do in building confidence in ill children is tremendously important and fund raising events such as the Trust Ball are critical to the charity continuing it’s important work.
David Wyllie, Director of Sceneric said "It's a great charity, a great evening and a chance for us to celebrate and help the Trust in a small way."
The Trust was launched by the internationally-renowned sailor Ellen MacArthur on 2nd January 2003 and in Ellen’s words "These are really special kids. In many ways they are just the same as everyone else, they are interested in the same things as kids their age, they have the same goals in life, but the difference is that they do this with a huge challenge ahead of them."
The children who benefit come from all over the United Kingdom, including Northern Ireland, London, Essex, Sheffield, Dorset, Wiltshire, Hertfordshire, Hampshire, Kent and Nottingham.
