Sceneric assists Football League Interactive with RFP
Sceneric’s strategic consulting division works in partnership with Football League Interactive to deliver new platform Request for Proposal

Football League Interactive (FLi) required a digital platform to meet the existing and future needs of its member clubs in what is fast changing technological landscape.
Following best practice procurement guidelines to ensure a fair and balanced process for prospective delivery partners and the incumbent, FLi approached Sceneric to assist with the creation of the Request for Proposal (RFP). This was issued to software vendors, system integrators and hosting providers.
Sceneric was chosen due to it’s market leading experience in cutting edge web platforms, it’s knowledge of ecommerce and social media in the sports industry, and it’s strategic consulting division which delivers technical and commercial expertise to advise clients on their multi-channel strategy.
The platform requirements were diverse and extensive including:
- A superb customer experience delivered through a modern content management system (CMS)
- Extremely high traffic with extremes of traffic based around events
- Video streaming and video delivery
- Mobile platform delivery
- Search Engine Optimisation
- The ability to run a multi-tenanted system with multiple clients on a single platform in a secure and performing manner
Sceneric worked with FLi stakeholders to refine the high level requirements and to assign priority for deliverables. Sceneric’s “model RFP” was extended with relevant technical questions, and Sceneric worked with existing providers to understand the usage model and statistics on the current platform to provide relevant data.
The goal was to create an RFP that provided enough detail for vendors to supply credible estimates, and to provide the ability to offer the RFP on an “open” basis and to simplify the task of sorting the responses.
With the RFP issued, Sceneric provided expertise to score the responses over a 3-step process, including attending meetings with FLi staff to understand fully the solutions on offer.
Sceneric continues to work with FLi on an ongoing basis providing delivering expertise and quality assurance as the implementation work commences.
