Configurable

The Sceneric Proposal System has been designed to be completely configurable with an internal, configurable rules engine. The rules engine is easily editable using the simple inteface thus removing the need for IT staff to make calculations changes and change limits.

The rules engine provides a flexible "click and update" Interface for maintaining key product values such as the maximum sum assured or a minumum age.

Rules Engine Interface

Rules are defined within the Rules Engine which is accessed through the Interface as packages. These packages are deployed to the Quotation Engine either through a Content Management System or other suitable deployment method.

For example, if a product has a minimum age for the Policy Holder or a maximum limit on the Sum Assured, these limits can be changed easily.

During the configuration of products for the first time these limits are clearly defined and are easy to reference in the future, without the need to involve IT staff in complex change procedures.

Once these key values are set the the quote rules are compiled to pure Java bytecode ensuring maximum speed.

 

 

Common Financial Functions

The Proposal System has Common financial functions which can be used, as appropriate, to define the product. These methods are written in Java an can be called as standard as you build and change your products.
